breathing underwater is hard!

Ola people!! It's been ages since i last blogged ehehe..ANYWAY! I started my diving course last Saturday, n i've gotta say it was HEAPS of fun! well, of course the 1st day was only classroom tutorial, good thing it wasn't that boring larr~~the videoclips shown were easy to understand, creative n funnehh=)

The REAL fun only started on Sunday, although i woke up to a gloomy morning, i kept myself thinking positive n that everything was gonna be okay ;) (mummy was thinking otherwise already btw) So! i grabbed everything i packed the night before n left for the marina at Sutera. When i left the house i was wearing my sunnies with hope that the sun would actually shine SO bright that it would force me to wear the sunnies i was already wearing. HAHA! HOWEVER.....grr..by the time i was walking to the marina it was drizzling heavily so i had to put away my sunnies..cheh..burukz. Moments later when everyone else arrived, we went on board our "not-so" attractive boat n headed for Mamutik island AND believe me it wasn't a pleasant boat ride

-_-"...since it was drizzling, you don't just feel the wind blowing at ur face, it was like u were being Attacked n stung by incy-wincy bees!!! ooch....Yolanda & I were exchanging these "irritated looks" the whole time during the boat ride..aduhhh...good thing i was wearing long sleeves~~by the time we reached Mamutik, all of us were soaking WET..damn..

Nevermind all the wetness, we were gonna get wet sooner or later anyway ehehe...so, CJ (our instructor) led us to the diving area where we we briefed on what we were gonna do for that day and prepared our diving gadgets n ol. Bla bla bla then we were carrying our tanks to the beach...so damn heavy! The tank itself was already 14 kgs, we even had 3 kg weight belts on us, and more heavy stuff dangling from our body! The moment i entered the water punyaala main legaaaa~~~Then all of us hung to our buddies and put our fins on~~it wasn't easy OKAY, the waves were practically trying to turn us over....but we managed after all heehee~~

Then, we tried IT....we were breathing underwater, it was so awkward at first cuz u had to keep reminding yourself to not at anytime hold your breath and to breathe through the mouth and not the nose...it's actually tiring too cuz u had to bite the mouthpiece of the regulator(the thing that supplies u O2) so that it won't pop out of your mouth! So, after getting used to that bit, we continued with a number of tasks for the confined water then we had our 1st open water dive to only about 7 metres deep, i know~i know~ it doesn't seem that deep, but if u were in my fins(shoes doesn't fit the situation, hahahahaa) u would be a little scared too, i was especially terrified if i was closing in the corals~~~haizzz, i had to concentrate on my breathing, trying to keep myself neutrally buoyant AND focus on my surroundings. SOOOOOO lah.....but of course it was fun! i only hated the part when my mask started to get foggy which made it hard for me to see and kinda panic a little....ahaahaaa~~ Among the stuff i saw were these pretty colorful fishies, ugly corals, pretty corals, seaweed? and a flatfish, i x really know what the real name of the fish is soooooo i named it myself. HAHA

After that 1st open water dive, we rested and had lunch, then it started to rain kinda heavily and i just couldn't stop eating marie biscuits and bananas...mmm...when ur tired n hungry they become super delicious ahahhahaa~~~~~~well, the rain did stop and so we continued with MORE tasks for the confined diving...arrr.....the tank so barattttt i felt like the hunchback of Notre Dame. Dive dive Dive, splish splash splish splash trus finito~~ we learned how to clean our equipment then we headed back for Sutera marina..luckily it wasn't raining already so we had a nice boat ride back=)

Overall, the diving course was AWESOME and i can't wait for the next dives this coming weekend!! Sorry i haven' t got any photos this time but for the next dives i'm gonna borrow the office camera with the waterproof casing! Yayyyy!!! Blog l8er!!! Cheers~!
